| Effective 10:00 am Thursday, December 2nd, the USMC MotoMail Service was officially launched.(www.motomail.us) This free service, patterned after the British Forces e-Bluey service, allows family and friends to send mail to US Marines serving in Iraq. Although the letters are composed on-line, they are actually downloaded printed and delivered as real mail. This is accomplished in a highly secure environment using integrated printer/mailing machines to ensure privacy. Superletter.Com Inc. of Florida was contracted to design and implement the service and from the date of signing of the contract to the actual launching of the service took only 60 days. The USMC Postal Affairs division at Quantico, Virginia has worked closely with the SuperLetter team to deploy the service which has the ability to deliver "Next Day" mail to US marines serving in Iraq. The e-Bluey service provided by SuperLetter.Com in conjunction with the British Forces Post Office has been providing mail service to 20 locations (including Afghanistan and Iraq) around the globe for almost 4 years. |
