Fast Free Mail to US Marines at Camp Fox, Announces SuperLetter.Com

NEW SMYRNA BEACH, FL, Aug. 15, 2003 -- A trial Hybrid Mail service was launched August 1st by the United States Marine Corp to provide next day mail service from family and friends to Marines serving at Camp Fox in Kuwait. Hybrid Mail enables letters to be written on a PC and uploaded to a server for downloading, printing and physical delivery at remote locations. The trial service is free to all family and friends for sending or receiving mail to and from Camp Fox and is provided by the United States Marine Corps, the British Forces Post Office and a privately owned US based company, SuperLetter.Com Inc. (www.SuperLetter.Com), that has provided this service to British troops for almost 3 years.

The President of SuperLetter.Com Inc., Bill Ramsay visited Camp Lejeune at the invitation of Major Stephens and Captain Givens working with "Family Support" groups to assist them in teaching others how to use the service. Ramsay expects to visit other locations in the next several weeks to provide familiarization to other groups.

On the first day of the trial approximately a dozen letters were sent and delivered to Camp Fox along with a test letter from USMC Major Stephens at Camp Lejeune mailed to Colonel Roberts at Camp Fox providing delivery in less than 24 hours half way around the world.

This trial of the highly successful service initiated by SuperLetter.Com Inc. and the British Forces Post office is being watched carefully by all 5 branches of the US service in the hopes that it can be made available to all Operational US Service Personnel and their family and friends located anywhere in the World.

During the height of the Iraqi conflict at a time when US forces were experiencing long delays with mail delivery over a quarter of a million letters per month were delivered to 40,000 British troops stationed in the Gulf with the letters often being received within hours.
